Project Overview

Project Overview

TransparentFood is a B2B digital platform designed to connect global food suppliers and buyers across categories like fruits, vegetables, eggs, fish, and packaged goods. The goal of this project was to create an intuitive and trustworthy platform that helps suppliers expand their reach and allows buyers to discover verified sellers with confidence. The design focuses on building transparency in product information, documentation, and communication between buyers and sellers. This end-to-end solution was built from scratch, with a mobile-first and desktop-adaptive approach, focusing on user experience for both buyer and seller flows.

TransparentFood is a B2B food trading platform that connects verified suppliers with buyers across regions.
The platform focuses on reducing trust issues by providing transparent supplier information, verified documents, and structured deal workflows.

Goals & Success Criteria

Problem Overview

The global food trade lacks transparency, especially for small to medium suppliers who struggle to reach international buyers, and for buyers who fear low product quality, fraud, or poor documentation. We're building TransparentFood to solve this. The platform helps ensure trust, clarity, and ease in B2B food trading by providing verified supplier profiles, clear documentation (like certificates and test reports), and a user-friendly experience to connect both sides efficiently. Our goal is to make international food trading safer, simpler, and more accessible for all.

In B2B food trading, buyers often hesitate to work with new suppliers due to missing or unverified information.
Suppliers, on the other hand, struggle to gain trust and close deals efficiently.

Key Challenges:

  • Lack of verified supplier data

  • Manual and unclear deal processes

  • Time-consuming document verification

Problem Statement

Problem Statement

In the international food trade market, buyers face difficulties in finding trustworthy suppliers due to lack of transparency, unverified certifications, unclear product information, and inefficient communication. On the other hand, genuine suppliers struggle to showcase their credibility, handle multiple documents, and reach serious buyers globally. This results in missed opportunities, low trust, and delays in deal closures.

TransparentFood aims to bridge this gap by providing a platform where both buyers and suppliers can connect confidently, backed by verified profiles, clear documentation, and smooth deal management.

The global food trade lacks transparency, especially for small to medium suppliers who struggle to reach international buyers, and for buyers who fear low product quality, fraud, or poor documentation.
